During my recent stay at the Barclay, I experienced a charming blend of comfort and culinary creation. The location is superb-just a brief stroll from the beach and conveniently accessible to local cafes and restaurants. Despite its proximity to amenities, the guesthouse offers a tranquil atmosphere. I opted for breakfast each morning, where I found the English fare hearty yet uncomplicated. The ambiance of the dining area was inviting, making it a delightful start to my day. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the region's culinary traditions while ensuring freshness. Steve and Lynn, as hosts, excelled in creating an accommodating environment. Their attention to detail, such as providing chilled bottled water and a thoughtfully decorated room, made a difference. For those exploring the area, I highly recommend this guesthouse, as it serves as an excellent base for any gourmet getaway.
